COVID-19

   In case of a COVID-19 outbreak, public health centers are engaged in epidemiological severance for patients and their close contacts (for PCR testing and health observation). Conveying those who are infected to medical institutions and taking preventive measures is also part of our duties. 
 The COVID19 online help desks that correspond to the infectious concerns or suspicions of citizens, including consultations, are on constant standby. 
 To prevent occurrences of COVID-19 clusters, the prefectural network was organized. Its key members are public hospitals in Toyama Prefecture, research institutes, and the Toyama Branch of the Japan Medical Association. It works widely, not only through exchanging the information of patients, but also coordinating communication with clinics and nursing homes for the elderly and physically challenged.
