The Museum of Modern Art, Toyama is located in the corner of Johnan
Park near the central of Toyama City.
The building with the simple appearance is characterized by the white
exterion wall of granite stone surrounded with the gorgeous green in
the park. Since its opening in July 1981, the museum has gained high
popularity among the people as one of the most representative
facilities in Toyama Prefecture. In April 2003, the four new permanent
exhibition rooms have created allowing people to enjoy much more art
works.
The museum targets to create a vivid meeting point between people and
arts by our active collection of art works, lively exhibition
activities and effective public relation activities with modern arts
from the beginning of 20th century up to the present time, standing on
the three viewpoints from the world, from Japan and from Toyama.

Admission fee for Special Exhibitions will be fixed each time.
Entry is free of charge for both Permanent Exhibition and Special Exhibition in the following cases.
Entry of student under the age of 18.
Entry of leader for the purpose of school education and social education activity.
People who stays in welfare facility, people who carries any type of welfare-related certificate, and leader.
